Rennes, 8 July 2026 – Samsic Group has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Gleeson Recruitment Group, a specialist UK recruitment firm founded in 2011, which has become one of the recognised independent players in the UK market.
This transaction forms part of Samsic RH’s expansion strategy in the United Kingdom, alongside its subsidiary Sellick Partnership, by broadening its geographical coverage and multi-sector expertise portfolio, while strengthening its position in the British market.
Based in Birmingham, London, Nottingham and Reading in the Thames Valley, Gleeson Recruitment Group operates across permanent recruitment, temporary recruitment and executive search. The firm covers ten specialist areas: finance and accountancy, human resources, technology and information systems, legal, logistics, supply chain, procurement and sales, marketing and digital, transformation, and property and facilities management.
It also operates through dedicated brands, including GRG Executive Search, specialising in the recruitment of senior executives and business leaders; Gleeson Futures, focused on recruitment solutions for growth phases; and Pharma Partners, dedicated to the pharmaceutical industry.
The three original founders, Tony Gleeson, Jason Granger and Jason Blakey, will remain fully involved in the company’s development. All three come from a finance and accountancy background and have built Gleeson around strong expertise in financial recruitment, from middle management through to senior leadership roles.
Their in-depth knowledge of regional UK markets, particularly Birmingham and the Midlands, together with their presence in the strategic employment areas of London, Reading and Nottingham, represents a key asset in complementing Samsic RH’s offering in the UK market.
